This hotel used to be the Kempiski and has now be renamed. Nothing really has changed as far as i can see apart from logos. The hotel is attached to the Bahrain City Centre shopping mall which is the biggest in the kingdom. Thus giving shoppers a happy time. Big names and all you really need are in the mall as well as a cinema, food courts, bowling and water park. The hotel itself is plush on the surface it has a mezzanine level with bars and lounge. The standard room i was in was a little small if you ask me for a 5 star hotel. It had all you want the normal kettle safe robes tv internet (very slow by the way) mini bar shower and bath tub. The bed was good the views is nothing at all, this is because of the location a huge shopping mall by the highway main road so not a moan really. The spa is big with an outdoor pool with bar, the treatment are not cheap though. Breakfast is served on ground floor next to the coffee shop, it has a big selection but as always in most hotels is was nothing special. Over rating for me is again a 5 star hotel that is looking a little tired with over happy staff who say yes to everything but in many cases not on point. Check in i have to say was fast though. 85bhd per night plus taxes (20%) is pretty much as cheap as you will get here. Because of the size of the room i would not want to return, there are better places to stay in Bahrain for sure unless you need to be in a shopping mall. The grand ramee up the road has a much better sized room and larger bathroom and i would say is much better value. Check out the video for that on the channel.
